The Caproni AP.1 was a design of a low-set monoplane wing arrangement that had fixed landing gear legs and a single-seat cockpit held well-forward on the fuselage. This aircraft was intended as a fighter and proved a decent design attempt but she was later revised to incorporate a second crewmember and provisions for bombs in the fighter-bomber role.
The Fiat CR.42 Falco, also known as the Falcon; was a primary fighter for the Italian air force. CR.42's served with Italian forces up until the end of Italy's part in the war, until being retired for good in 1945.
