The Blackburn Baffin was a bomber of the mid-1920's. This aircraft served as a dedicated torpedo bomber and both were of biplane wing designs. The FAA requirements eventually met a new tornado bomber biplane with support for 1x 1,500 torpedo under the fuselage or up to 2,000lbs of drop bombs.
The Avro Anson was a militarized version of the commercial passenger transport Avro 652. As the Avro Anson nearly fell away to oblivion was not for its inherent rugger qualities and multi-faceted capabilities that made it useful in the training of pilots, bombardiers and gunners. The arrival of the second war sealed the future of the Anson as a primary trainer and multi-role platform for Britain and nations across the globe.
